Be wary of partial answers
Some questions on the Math section of the ACT may ask you more than one question. This may sound complicated, but you must be sure that you are answering the correct question. Answer choices may be shown that represent figures important to the overall solving of the problem, but that do not fully solve the problem. In order to resist the urge to choose a partial answer that is one of the answer choices, pay attention to the last sentence of the question. This is normally where the true question lies, so find it and then answer it accordingly.
